Banksy Officially Launches Gross Domestic Product Online Store

October 21, 2019 - /PressAdvantage/ - Sunsella, a business based in Las Vegas, Nevada, has announced that Banksy has officially launched its Gross Domestic Product online store. This particular online store features a range of dystopian homeware items, such as a rat race clock or a static-filled HD TV set. Every item is designed to provide a social commentary on various issues, ranging from the refugee crisis to the sugar-filled diets of children.

Most of the Gross Domestic Product items, some of which offer no function at all, are available for purchase immediately through a lottery. All of the items have been signed by the artist and in order to control demand, the website requires people who are interested in buying to answer a question on why art matters. In cases where the demand is more than the supply, the answer to the question will be used as a basis for determining who would be allowed to make a purchase. Thus, those who are interested in buying are advised to make their answer as informative, amusing or enlightening as possible.

The launch of the online shop came on the heals of the opening of Banksy’s Croydon store launch. The physical and online stores were established by the elusive British artist to secure the trademark for “Banksy” as a greeting card company had previously attempted to claim for itself his moniker as a way of selling branded merchandise.

According to the artist, the new website offers a diverse collection of “art, homewares and disappointment.” Meanwhile, the artist had stated that the first releases are for lower-income customers and that wealthy art collectors should refrain from making a purchase at the present time.

The artist explained that while the Banksy physical and online stores also offer refunds and comply with regulations on data protection just line any shop, all of the products that are being sold are made in an art studio and not in a manufacturing facility. They also try to utilize recycled materials whenever possible. Those who want to make a purchase are required to register their personal details and answer the question previously mentioned.

Meanwhile, Sunsella is a home and kitchen products company that sells their items online. One of the available products from the company is the 5 Pack Adhesive Spice Clips. These are very strong adhesive spice bottle grippers. These are guaranteed to be able to stick to kitchen cupboard doors, allowing consumers to orderly access their spice bottles and more. A five piece set of stainless steel measuring spoons is also included in the set.

Then there is the Multi-Purpose Pastry, Pasta Cutter and Bench Chopper, Scraper with Ruler. This is made from heavy duty stainless steel and it can be utilized by professional chefs or in home cooking. It can be used as a baking tool for dough and bread, and it can also be used for flipping burgers or for cleaning barbecue grills or a bench top or hot plate. It can also be useful in slicing and chopping vegetables. It also be utilized for cleaning bench tops, counter tops, chopping boards, and more.

Another important product from Sunsella is the Leakproof Insulated Stainless Steel Water Bottle with Carrier Clip. It has a capacity of half a liter or 17 ounces. It is vacuum insulated and double walled to ensure that consumers can keep hot or cold beverages in the water bottle and these will remain hot or cold for 24 hours. Its leakproof screw on lid helps in preventing spills and in maintaining the temperature of the liquid inside. It is also provided with a removable silicone ring handle with aluminum carabiner. This will allow the user to easily clip it onto a backpack, bags, and other similar items. This will ensure that people will easily be able to bring the water bottle when they are traveling or when they are jogging or walking.

Streep, Miranda and Stone are named as Met Gala co-0chairs

Nov 21, 2019

NEW YORK — Next year's Met Gala may be the closest we'll ever come to getting a Miranda Priestly moment at the starry event. Meryl Streep has been named as a co-chair of the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute. The Oscar-winner played Priestly, a thinly veiled fictional version of Vogue editor Anna Wintour, in the movie "The Devil Wears Prada." Wintour clearly has no hard feelings because she selected Streep as a co-chair along with Lin-Manuel Miranda and fellow Oscar-winner Emma Stone. Designer Nicolas Ghesquiere rounds out the group. The gala's theme is "About Time: Fashion and Duration," which...

US tells UN it is pulling out of Paris climate deal

Nov 21, 2019

WASHINGTON — The United States has told the United Nations it has begun the process of pulling out of the landmark 2015 Paris climate agreement. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said Monday that he submitted a formal notice to the United Nations. That starts a withdrawal process that does not become official for a year. His statement touted America's carbon pollution cuts and called the Paris deal an "unfair economic burden" to the U.S. economy. Nearly 200 nations signed the climate deal in which each country provides its own goals to curb emissions of heat-trapping gases that lead to climate...

Riot police storm Hong Kong malls to nip more protests

Nov 21, 2019

HONG KONG — Riot police stormed several malls in Hong Kong on Sunday in a move to thwart more pro-democracy protests, as the city's leader heads to Beijing for talks on deepening economic integration between the semi-autonomous Chinese territory and mainland China. There were calls online urging protesters to gather in seven locations to sustain a push for political reform following a chaotic day of protests and clashes with police on Saturday, with the anti-government movement showing no signs of letting up after nearly five months. Most of the rallies didn't pan out Sunday as scores of riot police took...

US economy defies threats with a solid job gain for October

Nov 21, 2019

WASHINGTON — A solid October jobs report on Friday spotlighted the surprising durability of the U.S. economy in the face of persistent trade conflicts and a global slowdown. The economy managed to add 128,000 jobs last month even though tens of thousands of workers were temporarily counted as unemployed because of the now-settled strike against General Motors. What's more, the government revised up its combined estimate of job growth for August and September by a robust 95,000. Though the unemployment rate ticked up from 3.5% to 3.6% in October, it's still near a five-decade low. And for a second straight...

Draghi stepped in during euro's darkest hour

Nov 21, 2019

FRANKFURT, Germany — Mario Draghi leaves as head of the European Central Bank credited with having rescued the eurozone from disaster with a well-timed phrase and bold action to back up his words. He expanded the bank's arsenal of crisis-fighting tools with new and unconventional policies, measures that he and others say helped end a financial crisis in 2010-2012 and create millions of jobs in the 19-country monetary union. Yet the closing days of his term have hardly been a victory lap. His departure is accompanied by an unusually public dispute among ECB board members over stimulus policies he pushed...
